School For Paws Agility Club

We are proud to announce at School For Paws that one of our club members, Lucy King and Chloe, entered their first competition last month and achieved a 6th, 8th and a 10th - not bad for first time out and only doing it for about 6 weeks!!  Well done both of you - keep up the good work!

Husky Sledding March '08

Emma and her husband Steve have just recently returned from Northern Finland taking part in husky sledding in the wilderness.   It involved working and caring for your own team of huskies and travelling approximately 40 km a day to each destination.   Their camp base would be a simple log cabin with no running water or electricity.   It was idealistic and an experience of a lifetime.   All the dogs are incredible and to see such a large pack of dogs together was an eye opener indeed.   It also shows a person, what a working dog's life is meant to be and a husky is certainly no place for a pet home - if you own one then working it is the only way!   If you ever get the opportunity to have a go then go for it!!
